The top 10 happiest countries are:

  1. Finland

  2. Denmark

  3. Iceland

  4. Sweden

  5. Norway

  6. Netherlands

  7. Switzerland

  8. Israel

  9. Costa Rica

  10. Mexico

Notably, Costa Rica and Mexico have entered the top 10 for the first time since the report's inception in 2012.

The United States has dropped to its lowest position ever, ranking 24th, down from 23rd the previous year.

This decline is attributed to factors such as increased social isolation and a rise in solitary dining habits.

The World Happiness Report evaluates countries based on factors like social support, income, health, freedom, generosity, and absence of corruption. This year's report emphasizes the positive impact of benevolence and social connections on overall happiness.
