श्रीमती मनीषा अंधासरे यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली सेंट झेवियर्स हायस्कूल आणि ज्युनियर कॉलेज, नेरुळ नवी मुंबई यांनी लोकशाही मजबूत करण्याच्या दिशेने टाकलेले एक पाऊल

गुरुवार दिनांक 25 एप्रिल 2024 रोजी सेंट झेवियर्स हायस्कूल आणि ज्युनिअर कॉलेजच्या शिक्षकांमार्फत 20 मे २०२४ रोजी होणाऱ्या लोकसभेच्या निवडणुकांच्या अनुषंगाने मतदान जागृती उपक्रम राबविण्यात आला .वाशी रेल्वे स्थानक, सेक्टर 9 व सेक्टर 6 चे मार्केट आणि मिनी सीशोर परिसरात शिक्षकांनी पथनाट्याच्या माध्यमातून मतदानाच्या अधिकारांचे महत्त्व विशद केले . पथनाट्यातून 18 वर्षे पूर्ण केलेल्या व्यक्ती मतदानाच्या अधिकारास पात्र आहेत, 85 वर्षांवरील व्यक्ती 12 डी फॉर्म भरल्यास घरबसल्या मतदान करू शकते तसेच मतदान केंद्रावरील पिण्याच्या पाण्याची व्यवस्था, स्वच्छतागृह, रॅम्प, व्हील चेअर अशा सुविधांविषयी माहिती देण्यात आली या जनजागृती उपक्रमास उदंड प्रतिसाद मिळाला . नागरिकांनी उस्फूर्तपणे मत व्यक्त करून शिक्षकांच्या पथनाट्याचे कौतुक करून उपक्रमाची प्रशंसा केली.

या वैशिष्ट्यपूर्ण उपक्रमाचे आयोजन सौ मनीषा मोहन अंधांणसरे व त्यांच्या सहकाऱ्यां मार्फत करण्यात आले. उपक्रमास श्री राय उत्तर भारतीय अध्यक्ष नवी मुंबई, हायकोर्ट ॲडव्होकेट श्री आशुवर्धन, सौ कल्पना चात्रे, श्री भोसकर इत्यादी उपस्थित होते

Election awareness campaign was conducted by the teaching staff of St. Xavier’s High school and Jr.College , Nerul Navi Mumbai under the guidance of Mrs. Manisha Andhansare, the C.E.O of the school. The teachers through the street play enacted and conveyed the message of importance of exercising the political right of every citizen above 18 yrs of age by voting. The street play was performed at different public places like Vashi Sector 9 market, Vashi Railway Station, Vashi Sector 7 market and Vashi mini sea-shore. The key factor which was highlighted through the play was that  the Senior citizens above 85 yrs of age by duly filling the form 12 D can cast their vote by sitting at home and avoid visiting the polling booth. Through the street play the staff repeatedly reminded the public on the significance of casting their valuable vote on 20^th May 2024. The street play was well appreciated and applauded by the people gathered.
