Prevoius encounters

Gujarat Titans started their tournament on a high note and defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their opening match. In the second encounter they defeated Delhi Capitals (DC), but faced final over blow against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) due to Rinku Singh’s heroic last over performance. GT lost their next campaign to Rajasthan Royals (RR) but won their next encounter in clossley fought battle against Lucknow Super Gianst (LSG).

On the other hand, MI won 3 matches and lost same number of matches. Rohit Sharma and Co lost their first two matches to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). They then defeated Delhi Capitals (DC), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), but lost their last encounter against Punjab Kings (PBKS).

Pitch report

The pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium is a balanced one. It is expected to favour the pacers initially, but as the game goes on, spinners are likely to come into the picture. Anything above 175 will be a good total on the surface.
