India beats England by an innings and 64 runs: Series won 4-1 with Dharamshala Test; Gill-Rohit's century, Ashwin gets 9 wickets

India's Dominant Victory: Crushing England in Dharamshala Test, Securing Series Win with Gill-Rohit's Century and Ashwin's 9-wicket Haul

India defeated England by an innings and 64 runs in the Dharamsala Test. With this, Team India won the five-match Test series 4-1.

England won the toss and chose to bat at the HPCA Stadium on Thursday. In the first innings, England were all out for 218 runs and Team India for 477 runs. India got a lead of 259 runs in the second innings, England team was limited to 195 runs only. In this way the English team had to face defeat by an innings and 64 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin, playing his 100th Test, took 9 wickets in the match.

This is India's 17th consecutive series win on home grounds in the last 12 years. The Indian team already holds the record of winning most consecutive series at home. Australia is at second position after winning 10 consecutive series at home.

The last time India had to face defeat in a Test series in home conditions was in 2012. Then England defeated India 2-1 in India. Since then, Team India has not lost any series at home and has defeated the rival team 17 consecutive times.
