The disease spread in China, not in India, the government told the media reports wrong, said- monitoring is being done

A statement issued by the ministry said that a recent media report claimed that seven cases of pneumonia related to the rising trend in China have been reported in AIIMS Delhi. Such reports are false and spreading misleading information.

It also says that no such case has been reported so far in any part of India. The Union Health Ministry is in touch with the health officials of the states regarding this and is closely monitoring the situation on a daily basis.

AIIMS also said – no need to worry
