Mumbai: Instrumentalist and composer Nirmal Mukherjee passed away

Nirmal Mukherjee, the composer of the song 'Ashi Chikmotyachi Maal', has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 71. After his death, there is a feeling of sadness in the cinematography. Nirmal would have dominated Hindi and Bengali languages. Only in Marathi and especially in Malvani language, they used to communicate. His Aashi Chikmotyaachi Maal Hey song would have been special ghazals.

After Nirmal Mukherjee, his wife, one son and two daughters are in his family. He breathed his last at the Rahatya Gharat in Mumbai. His body will be cremated at Sakinaka's cremation ground.

Nirmal and Arvind were the only pair to be recognized in the film industry. 'Jhale Mokale Akash' or Chitrapalahi Yach Jodi would have given the music. Bongo (Bongo Drum), Kongo, Tumba, Darbuka, D-Jembe, all such western instruments would have been ruled by them. He has contributed to many songs as an instrumental arranger.
