Himanta Biswa Sarma will be the next Chief Minister of Assam, BJP Legislature Party meeting decided

Suspense about the post of Chief Minister in Assam has ended today. BJP won 60 seats in the assembly
Out of 126 assembly seats of Assam, BJP has captured 60 seats. Whereas, its ally AGP has won 9 seats and UPPL has won 6 seats.

Sarma and Sonowal returned to meet the high command in Delhi on Saturday. A high-profile meeting was held at the residence of BJP National President JP Nadda in Delhi. In which the name of the new Chief Minister was discussed in the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP General Secretary (Organization) BL Santosh. Since then, the speculation of Sarma being made CM was fast.
